Hi I have two lovely malr chinchillas that get along very well together.
If you want to introduce a new chinchilla you have to take things very slowly. First of all you need a separate cage for your new chin. You can start off by placing the cages in close proximity (but not acctually touching) so that the chins get used to each others smell.
Over time you can push the cages together so that the two chins can touch, do not leave them unsupervised when you first do this! Eventually you can let them out together in a neutral area (a place not dominated by one or the other's scent) make sure this is supervised.
Gradually they will become used to each other and you will reach a point where you feel safe leaving them alone together.
However the two may never get on and you could be left with two separate chinchillas to care for. |
