Biography!
Greetings John! I was always a big fan of your whole career. What happened to your "old" webpage with detailed biography and discography? This page was a goldmine! I miss the detailed history on the new webpage. You put so much passion in the old webpage. Of course your interest is now and the future but as a fan I want to know all about your whole career and buy the old stuff too. Greetings from France Leon |

Hi Leon Thanks for writing and for following my career so long. Regarding my new website I think you will find all the information you need to know simply by sending me questions, which I will be more than happy to answer if I can. Thats the great thing about this new website. I can now keep in closer touch with fans alot better than ever before. So if you need to know anything, drop me a line, Leon. Cheers and best wishes John Beland Kristiansand, Norway |

Thanks for your quick reply John!! Just one question I have right now (but I'm sure I will come up with more!!) ;-) Was the song "She's got a honky tonk heart" written by you and Gib Guilbeau, produced by Randy Scruggs and John Thompson recorded 1982 for the unreleased Burrito Brothers album "Our roots are country music"? Merci Leon |

Hi Leon "SHE'S GOT A HONKY TONK HEART" was written mostly by myself, with a little help from Gib Guilbeau. It was specifically written for a duet we did with Mel Tillis, for the album "OUR ROOTS ARE COUNTRY MUSIC", un-released on Curb Records in 1982. John Thompson & Randy Scruggs produced the track. It was recorded at Scruggs Sounds in Berryhill, just outside of Nashville. Thanks Leon JB |
