FBB song recorded in Australia 2000?

Hi John,

hope you're doing fine.

I have one question, I read somewhere (maybe on your old page) that the Burritos recorded a song when they were on tour in Australia 2000 (but was never released).

True? Any chance for a release or maybe to put it on your myspace page?

Thanks
Leon

Re: FBB song recorded in Australia 2000?

HI Leon
Thanks for writing.

The song you are refering to is our re-make of the Daddy Cool classic "Eagle Rock". We recorded it at Brian Cadd's studio on the Gold Coast in 2000, while on tour in Australia. We actually did it twice, once at Brian's and a live performance of it at the Tamworth Music Festival, where we were joined onstage by none other than Daddy Cool's original lead singer, the great Ross Wilson.

Due to the blunder of the totally inept label we were on ( Stallion Records in Australia), they failed to seize the opportunity and never and forgot to record the live version, which was outstanding.

The recorded version was lost when the label folded soon after we left Australia. So there are no versions of the FBB doing EAGLE ROCK anywhere.

Other than that, the FBB never recorded in Australia again. However, I did and went on to have a very successful run as a country producer there.
