I don't personally think there is anything wrong with asking the ghost/spirit to appear. Commanding it, however... well... I like to laugh at people who do that when they have no element of Authority -or- Power over the spirit. I think of them as beings as intellegent as any human, and what would -you- think if someone came in, without being in authority of you, or having any physical or metaphysical power over you, and started yelling at you?

Yeah... couple that with the possibility of certain paranormal abilities, and the best you can get away with is -nothing-, and only that if the spirit happens to be in a good mood.

I totally agree with you John. I can't imagine trying to tick off some ghost just to get a response. I mean, let's face it, when a ghost has the ability to throw things and has even had this tendancy, I wouldn't want to agravate it. As you say, it's kinda like poking a sleeping animal with a stick to see if it's really sleeping.
