Top Sports Stories of 2005!
So everyone has an opinion about what's the top sports stories in the USA for 2005. Here's some that have got to make the list: The Chicago White Sox win the World Series, for the first time since 1917... Philadelphia Eagles let go of Terrell Owens mid-season... Hurricane Katrina upsets the home fields for several teams in Louisiana including the New Orleans Saints... Congressional hearings on steroids use by baseball players... The NHL cancels the season for 04/05, reopens with new look for 05/06 season...including ending ties with shootouts and salary caps... Lance Armstrong wins his 7th Tour de France... Michelle Wie turns pro... USC wins back to back Heisman titles....from 2004 and 2005... New England Patriots win their 3rd Super Bowl in 4 years... Rafael Palmero gets his 3,000 hit and drug ban...
