2007 KC Royals - Players of the Year
For the 2007 season, it was announced that Gil Meche won the KC Royals Pitcher of the Year. Mark Grudzelanek was named the Royals Player of the Year.  Gil had a season era of 3.67 (career best, and best for a Royals starter since Kevin Appier in 1997) with 9 wins and 13 losses. He had 156 strike outs with 62 walks. He was the Royals only representative at the mid summer classic, All Star Game. Mark played in 116 games, with 137 hits, 6 homers, 51 rbi's, with a batting average of .302 Brian Bannister won the special achievement award. He pitched 12 wins and 9 losses with a 3.87 era.
