Message:   I am currently reading the Book, Lt. Ramsey's War. A fantastic story. I am a World War II re-enactor and I will be doing a display of Early World War II Calvary up at West Point this Spring for the Cadet's there. I will be portraying a 26th Calvary Officer in the Philippines. I have some questions.

1.During the charge at Morong, where you carrying an M1 Garand Rifle or a 1903 Springfield ?

2. Also, Officers were issued the M1913 Sword. Did you carry this in any of the actions on Bataan ?

3. According to the book, you wore the khaki tropical clothes. But, for the boots did you have the knee length boots or the short boots with the kahki leggings ?

4. Did the Officers in the 26th have the same type of saddle as the enlisted men ? (the McClellan Saddle) Or were you issued a better grade of saddle.

I know this sounds trivial to you, but when you are trying to portray a certain time and place these details make all the difference.

Thanks for the Help.
