Hi there, just wondering if anybody could give me some advice on an XA2 problem.
I bought an XA2 off ebay recently and it is ok apart from the fact that the shutter always fires for 2 seconds or so (together with the corresponding green light indicating long exposure) no matter what the lighting / film speed conditions.
I have put 2 new batteries in, and the battery check gives a continuous tone when switched on. If I attach the flash, then the shutter speed switches to it's correct sync speed (1/30 sec?). As soon as you remove the flash you are back to the 2 second exposure. I would guess that the electronics are fried somewhere and this is beyond repair, but does anyone know differently?
