Please Help My Legally Blind Daughter

Hello Everyone,

A situation as given my family and I no choice but to relocate my daughter to attend a school for the blind in Pennsylvania. Currently, we are in Southern California whereas the school district is not "kind" to her ability of being legally blind. The teachers ignore our requests to allow her to sit in front of the classroom among other things. Her condition is Albinism and Nystagmus (horizontal) - Involuntary, rhythmic movements of the eye in a horizontal direction. This causes a reduction in visual acuity because her eyes cannot fix on a target.

This situation has forced us to remove her from this "cruel" school district and pursue other means of schooling (home school). By doing this it has destroyed my daughters self esteem and confidence in herself. Tiana, 15 years old, should not feel as though she is a freak or different because of her condition. She does not want to go out and play because her self esteem is so low. There is no reason why my daughter spends all day in her "pj's" and just sits in the house because of this "cruel" school district.

We are asking for a donation in helping us relocate our daughter to attend this School For The Blind in Pennsylvania to assist her with her education as well as social development skills. This school will enable her to see that there our others in this world that share her abilities and can live a perfectly normal life. Please Help Us!!!

Thank You.
