Re: Del Prado's Canadian and US Rigs

I received the Bohemia and LIMA trucks last year, and the North Babylon and Bohemia Fire Police (along with a 2nd set of the other 4)last month. My volly department borders Bohemia and LIMA directly, so I've seen these trucks on scene, at their houses, and in parades over the years. In regards to these trucks, the level of detail and accuracy varies:

1. Obviously the Bronto is out of scale and the details are fairly good (except for the painted-over cab lights, and I'd love to see the little Bronto logo that is on the rear of the boom). They've been trying to sell this truck recently and have added a 75' Pierce Quint to supplement.
2. The GMC 'deuce and a half' 6x6 is actually as accurate to the real Stump Jumper as I could ask for from a production like this. I was very impressed since I thought nobody would take on a truck like this to replicate. Bohemia has now supplemented this truck with a 5-ton 6x6 which I would also love to see produced.
3. The Mack is well done in most areas, certain detail painting and the thickness of the extended cab safety doors is suspect. My original one had a plastic nub sticking out from the top of the body near the hose bed, making me think that something broke off and disappeared, but the second had nothing there, so the mystery continues.
4. The Fire Police van is well done, there's not much more to replicate, and yes, the gray plastic is replicating the newer clear lightbars.
5. The Oshkosh is also very representative, at least as of the last time we were called in to respond to MacArthur. I've shown it to a few guys who work at CFR and they were very impressed with it.
6. The North Babylon International I've seen in person at parades, but was never in such condition to be able to compare the level of detail

I'm still trying to track down the Bohemia figures, specifically the one in dress uniform. If anyone can give me a lead on this, or if any new such figures appear, I'd greatly appreciate.
