Lois, I read this book back in the late 1970's. A great inspirational book. I can't believe they are charging what they are for it now. I have the hardcover book somewhere...it was really a great book, a treasure. As for working the MDA telethon...it was a great experience,hard work, tiresome...but so rewarding as a young adult or I should say older teen.

I see the telethon did great and Jerry Lewis looked fabulous. By the way, I can't believe the book is so expensive. It was a fabulous book and I know I have a hard cover copy of it from my MDA days. Not for sale...and no cost. However, I think the author would be saddened to hear his book is going for the price you listed. This was a young kid who definitely did not want people to make money off of him...all he wanted to do was give other's the will to live.
