Another one from England here. I have been searching the internet for Myotonia Congenita related information but this is the first time I've come across this board!

I've bookmarked it and I will most definitely be back!

By the way, I used to use mexitil but they stopped making it last year and I'm currently trialling different alternatives, currently on Clonazepam with mixed results!

Mexiletine, the generic for Mexitil is still made. It just isn't available in the UK any more.

You are probably right. I had trouble getting my prescriptions filled and found both my neurologist and pharmacist incabpable of providing a reason why. I contacted the company, Boehringer Ingelheim Limited, and they confirmed that Mexitiline was discontinued in June 2008.
