Yep the snow is falling in the UK and our mutual hatred of all things slippy (on the floor) surfaces yet again. Suggest you invest in a couple of car tyres and wear them around your body.... may also get some endorsement/sponsorship from Michelin ??? lol

Must admit that snow/ice are my most hated weather conditions purely because it increases the probability that my head will get a severe cracking on the pavement...

If possible (though I know not always as work calls etc) I try not to venture out in these conditions and if I do I try to be very very careful.

Good luck in finding an alternative solution.

How about snow shoes? I mean, they are meant for walking stably (if a bit slowly - and deliberately) on snow and ice, and so seem perfect! Otherwise, the soles that are like rubber cement are effective, but I don't remember what the substance is called. Rubber gum??
