Re: Don't Shake Hands in the Cold :-(

Jan,
That's actually pretty funny. If it had been a male banker, he might have thought you were coming on to him...LOL.
I like what your hubby said, but I've never needed to intimidate a banker. Those high pressure sales folks who call every hour of the day and night are the ones I really want to intimidate! Since I can't use your vise-grip handshake tactic over the telephone, I'm well-practiced at hanging up (after several polite "no thank you's" don't work, that is)!

Well you know, that's one of the first things they teach you in business. Firm handshakes :-)

I was starting to think maybe I do a little better when it's colder because I get weak when I get too hot, but it seems to be a trade off. Hot and weak, or cold and myotonic.

Re: Don't Shake Hands in the Cold :-(

Jan - I was always a firm hand-shaker, and would wiggle my hand around a lot when I anticipated having to shake someone's hand. But, of course, that often didn't work, and I would be left trying to extricate myself from one of those vise-grip shakes.

So when my hands/wrists were injured, I finally had an easy and obvious excuse to have a wimpy handshake. (it really does hurt to really shake now, so it's self- preservation! WHEW!!!) lol......Lois
