Re: Pro-biotics

Hi Teresa,
Having just had surgery on August 11th and taking antibiotics, the surgeon recommended that I use a cream that would be used for yeast infections as a preventative. I use Clotrimazole. She said to put a little bit on the outer areas and a little inside each day (not necessary to insert all the way) . This would prevent a yeast infection from forming. So far, so good.
Thought this might help.

Re: Pro-biotics

Considering how (relatively) poorly most modern Americans eat these days, and the chemicals, pollutants and medications that enter our bodies, my personal feeling is that pretty much everyone (and their dogs!) should replace or boost their intestinal flora/fauna at least weekly, with a couple of tablespoons of really high- quality yogurt with multiple organisms, or kefir, or a pro-biotic cottage cheese, etc. And there are also liquids, powders and capsule forms of these available, some lactose-free, for those who hate yogurt or can't tolerate milk products.

Re: Pro-biotics

Can you over-do-it with probiotics and do more harm than good.
