ankylosing spondylosis and myotonia dystrophy

I have both conditions and am having difficulty finding information on how to, if possible, live a somewhat normal life.Is their anyone in my delima. If so please respond.

You would have myotonic muscular dystrophy if your type is DM2. Myotonia Congenita is similar in that we have the same stiffness from delayed relaxation of the skeletal muscle, but aside from that they are very different disorders.

I think your best source for information would be the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation (MDF) at Myotonic.org or the International Myotonic Dystrophy Organization at MyotonicDystrophy.com. They both have excellent articles and support.

You're certainly welcome to read through the forum for ideas on how to deal with the stiffness, but since DM2 involves so many systems and organs I'm afraid we won't be much help with the other symptoms.
