I have just picked up on your MC Forum message. My wife and I are in South Africa with a 5 year old son diagnosed a year ago with Beckers and trying to find parents in a similar situation to chat and share experiences and learning. No joy finding anyone here in SA so far, but I came across your message. We were advised not to give medication, but to teach him to learn to cope and adapt.

We are presently experimenting with his diet too and that seems to be helping. We took him swimming yesterday, the pool was 28C and he came out so cold that he took 4 hours to warm up. That was a learning experience!
