Scientific Paper on MC

This was posted in the Facebook MC group by Brian Wood originally:

(Copy and paste the address into your web browser).

It is a scientific paper on both Thomsen's and Becker's MC with a very detailed examination of the disease. The jargon might prove problematic. If anyone has a problem with it let me know and I'll run off a 'plain English' summay for you (not everyone enjoys reading scientific papers, just us geeks! Lol!)

Type of Myotonia: Becker's

Re: Scientific Paper on MC

I will translate:

"This disorder makes no sense!"

The intention of the article was to highlight that there is so much that is unknown about this disorder.

That being said, I do appreciate Dr. Colding-Jorgensen for his work because he has published some great studies, and has built a very good case for continuing research into MC.

Re: Scientific Paper on MC

Lol!

I thought that it was a very good account of MC, it's history, variations, mutations, etc.

With such a dearth of material on MC such papers are like gold to me!
