related to severity

hi everyone,
ive just read through Jesse's post and then Jenna's on the severity topic, an have checked out the graph. it's just so amazing! but even though i have Becker type, the leg thing came much quicker, when i was only a couple of months old. Now my whole body is effected (face, tongue, eyes etc;) even though i'm only 12, not 17. is there any reason for this??
thanks alot,
Paige. :)

Re: related to severity

Paige,

It's possible that one of your two mutations tends to be more associated with dominant myotonia congenita, or the combination of the two might have a strong enough impact on the chloride channel that you are more affected than normal. Each mutation has it's own peculiar characteristics, and with Becker's you get two to mess with you :-)
