green focus element

hi, this is my first time to this forum, though i've owned my XA for about 3 years & my XA 2 for about two years. i'm having a problem with the green focusing element on the XA & it's getting difficult to see if i have the camera focused or not. i love this camera, & i'm hoping that this problem is a simple fix so i don't have to relegate to a shelf to gather dust, since it's been a constant companion since i've owned it. any suggestions would be much appreciated.
thanks, mike a

Re: green focus element

I think I'm having the same problem with my XA, which I just bought off eBay. I thought maybe it was because i wear glasses and the glasses were making it (and the shutter speed scale) hard to see..

Wish I had an answer for you, but I thought I'd let you know you're not the only one with this problem.

solution!

use a tiny piece of black tape or even a sharpie to dot in a black square -- see this website
