I teach in a urban inner city school that 4 years ago went from PreK -5 to Pre-K-8th grade.I have been there for 10 years and there is nowhere for the students to change. In the past the students wore their shorts and t-shirt under their school clothes and it was rarely a problem. But when middle school kids were introduced back into neighborhood schools where uniforms were required it has become an issue. I now only require them to change their shoes into proper shoes for running. I do require t-shirts with sleeves if they take off their uniform top. I teach in the lunch/multi-purpose room.Hopefully the new addition to my building will be build soon. There is suppose to be a gym, dressing rooms and 2 small fitness rooms.
