Corgi Mack C vs. Signature Series Mack C

Just received my Corgi Firehouse Expo Mack C. From outward appearances, it looks like Corgi did a little 're-tooling' on this piece. The Corgi model has a lot of cast in detail that's a little more distinct. Not as many separately applied details like the front turn signals and warning flashers. The Signature series model that came out earlier appears a little more 'clunkier' in detail than the Corgi version. The only thing about the Corgi model is that the cab roof has a little rise toward the crew area, as opposed to the straight roof on the Signature piece. Corgi did a nice effort on this. Hopefully next year we'll see a Chicago version.

Re: Corgi Mack C vs. Signature Series Mack C

Also the Corgi Mack C is smaller than the Signature Mack C. The Cogi model also has boot racks instead of hand rails on the hose body. I also think that there is to much red on the hose body?? The Signature Mack is still the best both for model and price.

Re: Corgi Mack C vs. Signature Series Mack C

If this is painted to reflect the Baltimore colors at the time, then yes, there is too much red on the hose body. Baltimore rigs would have only had the compartment areas painted red, above that and around the pump panel would have been white.
