So I just saw on the C3 site the PAPD unit sold out.
So I wonder....did it sell out b/c there is such a longing for detailed police replicas?
Did it sell out b/c it's a NY/NJ area release?
Do you think this makes C3 reconsider a police line?
Personally, I would by a police vehicle--although I did not buy this one or any of the NYPD ESU. To me, a nicely detailed cruiser is good enough for my collection and we really haven't seen any of those in a loooooooooooooooooong time.
Wow. I was going to order mine the end of the week.
I think there is a 3 fold reason:
1. NYC release for the most part & continuity of the department
2. Police release for the few vocal ones
3. Low release numnber, speculators buy more than one
I think it means that 1500 of anything will sell out. I love police vehicles, but there's a reason that 1500 of this model were made and 3000 FDNY Rescue 2 models, and both sold out before the general public had a shot. Frankly, I didn't think the PA REP would sell out so quickly, since it was a police vehicle and was so similar to the NYPD ESU REP. Hopefully this will encourage Code 3 to do more police models.
