Impressive list...thanks Mike for putting it together. Did you collect all of them. I ask only b/c I'm curious whether the detail on the Euro rigs is any better than the American rigs. Or are they just consistently detailed throughout the series.

What I'm getting at is take Corgi for example, you tend to find their Chicago rigs are done the best and it's not surprising given the resources they have in Chicago. I was wondering if DP had more opportunity for photos/consults overseas and put a little more effort into those particular rigs.

Would love to get me the Excursion or the 2 American Ladder trucks (the Pierce and E-one).

First, the canned response, from my FAQ (http://www.legeros.com/toys/del.html):

There's also a considerably disparity between the details in the molds. Notice the mirrors, for example. Some are thin plastic, some are thicker plastic. Some are molded as part of the chassis and painted silver. Perhaps different design teams worked on different models. Some of the releases have moving parts; some have none. Others have noticeably hollow parts, such as the boom on the 1990 Leibherr crane, which is solid on only three sides.

And that didn't really answer your question anyway... Yes, there's disparity in detail, both from Euro to Euro, as well as American to American.

Overall, the Euros are better detailed than the American, but not entirely.

I've collected many of the American releases, but not all of them. Most of them are too... clunky for my tastes. The aerials in particular.

The FDNY Excursion is as nice as you'll find for the price, as is the Pierce Quantum rescue. The vintage Ahrens and Mack pumps are quite fine. They are basically miniature versions of the Franklin Mint models.

The Oshkosh crash truck is rather nice, and not terribly clunky. The Hummer brush truck is very good, and maybe the best of the American pieces.
