The new AFEC Mack C is a different paint scheme of the previously made by NMMM Signature serie the North Tarrytown N.Y. one.
Sleepy Hollow and North Tarrytown are the very same Fire Dept. – but different new village name. Used to be N.T.F.D., now its S.H.F.D.
The Village of Sleepy Hollow was formerly the Village of North Tarrytown. The name of the Village was changed 10 years ago (1996) to its new name to capitalize on the world famous “Legend of Sleepy Hollow” story by author Washington Irving. The Headless Horseman is featured on the maltese cross on both cab doors, and the name is now Sleepy Hollow, NY on the cab’s side panel above the front wheels.
AFEC release #8 will be received in collectors hands fittingly before Halloween 10/31/06.
