Looks as though Diecast Direct have announced the first of their new line of police vehicles using the old Fleer castings (thats my guess anyway) The line is being called First Response, slated for release so for are 2 vehicles and a chopper in Maryland State Police markings. A 1941 Ford cruiser, 2007 Ford Crown Vic and a Dauphin AS 365 helicopter. The cars are scheduled for the second quarter of 07, the chopper is for later in the year. Pretty exciting news for the police collector.

That is great news! Hopefully the quality will be there. Judging from the prices I'd say so...not a cheap $4.99 Wal-Mart special. Can't wait to see the copter!

These are the White Rose / Fleer die castings...should be really good for the future of the Police Collectible Market....Hopefully, Dennis over at Diecast Direct will be able to get access to the 72/73 Plymouth molds as well....The MD Helo is based on the New Ray USCG diecast if I heard correctly. Should be a good year.

I hope the paint finish quality is more consistant than was White Rose's. I had lots of trouble with paint pimples and blems on their cars.

On the other hand, I was lucky enough to pick up a Fleer PSP Crown Vic, and the paint was flawless.
