I don't know if this has been posted here yet or not, I couldn't find anything on it. Ertl will be dropping some of their diecast and plastic automotive collectibles. One reason mentioned was the increase in the cost of zinc. Of the lines to be dropped are Racing Champions, Joy-Ride, Ertl Diecast and AMT plastic kits. Two lines that will continue for now are the agricultural and John Deere line as well as the Johnny Lightning's, however the JL's will be aimed more towards younger consumers.
