First Response 1/43 Dodge Charger Police Cars!!

For those Police car collectors, First Response has just announced the first 4 1/43 Dodge Charger Police cars - due in August are Illinois State, Massachusetts State, Michigan State and New Hampshire State Police cars. I have seen early mock ups of the raw (undecorated) cars, they look awesome!!

Re: First Response 1/43 Dodge Charger Police Cars!!

In addition to the four Dodge Chargers Jeff has posted, North Dakota, Texas, Wyoming, Georgia, Arkansas, Kansas, Utah and Virginia have also been listed as future releases using the casting. Great news for the police collector, bad news for the credit card.

Re: First Response 1/43 Dodge Charger Police Cars!!

This is truly exciting news for the cop car collectors! Does anybody have any info on what kind of accessories will come with the blank Crown Vics?? (ie: different light bars, push bumpers, etc).

Re: First Response 1/43 Dodge Charger Police Cars!!

Dennis Deal, the guy behind the First Response line, said that not only will the blank cars come with a full complement of police equipment (lightbars, antennas, spotlights, pushbars), they will come without pre-drilled holes, giving the customizer the option of making a slicktop and of only having to drill the holes required for the equipment he wants to use - no need to fill any holes anymore. This is going to be the most customizer-friendly line of police models ever made. Dennis is a long-time custom maker himself (does incredible work) so he approached this project from that perspective.

Re: First Response 1/43 Dodge Charger Police Cars!!

Thanks for that update Dick. The "no roof holes" is a blessing. It's much easier to use two drops of glue to attach a light bar if needed than to use gobs of putty, wait for it to dry, sand, prime, hope you can match the paint...well, you know what I mean. I can't wait for these cars!!
