Funnily enough John, remember a while ago, I sent you a picture of a VW which I picked up for you, and you emailed back, and said you already had it, well that was one of that collection.
About the same time, on here, I posted some pics of the NY state tahoe, tenn state trooper intrepid, and NYPD CV.
These and about 30 others, were all brought into the UK in great abundance, and were selling for a few bucks each.
Its ironic, that a while before, some people were bidding on italy ebay, up to $60 for some of them, before they came over here.
The ones that came to england were very quickly snapped up, as they were not too bad, and CHEAP !!!
I could have brought you a whole bunch when I came to DC.
They were all the same 1/43rd scale, the lightbars were a little too large, but all had accurate tampo printed livery.
They were followed up by taxicabs of the world,(again I posted pics on here of the CV versions) with some of the original molds from the IXO range, so again, you were getting a $30 model for 4 or 5 bucks.
In fact one of the taxi models (the LA taxi)was the stretched lincoln from minichamps.
UK ebay (www.ebay.co.uk)has the cararama/hongwell section in diecast and toys section,but sometimes I also check the other ebays in italy/france/spain, etc.
