Interesting site. Anyone know what scale that Volvo engine they have for ten pounds turns out to be? It looks like a nicely detailed piece.

I would say approx 1/50th as it goes well alongside the corgi UK firetrucks.
The weight is only about 1/3rd og a corgi though, and the detail is not that clever, although the truck itself is accurate, the ladders etc are cheap plastic and a tadge oversize.
These were marketed over here in the UK by richmond toys, for £3.99, ($8), and they did some liveried for the ficticious station in our tv series "Londons burning", but these ones now all have real fire station names on them.
Some of our cheaper stores do them in a set of 3, the other 2 being an ambo, and a 1/36th scale range rover metropolitan police.
