There are 2 articles in this month's "Fire Appratus and Emergency Equip." with a lot of facts on the ALF bankruptcy. You should all read them as they contain a lot of behind the scenes info. One point was that Freightliner sued ALF and Frieghtliner had provided accounting, inventory, payroll, & manufacturing process servies to ALF thru June 2007.

I note that the ALF spokesman says they will honor warranties. Spoke to some folks recently here in GA that do ALF warranty work. They had not been paid by ALF since the middle of last year. This wud seem to indicate that ALF is NOT honoring their warranties. I suspect the folks doing service are not going to continue to do the warranty work without being paid!
