My Visits to the home of Air Ops at Van Nuys Airport finely paid
My Visits to the home of Air Ops at Van Nuys Airport finely paid of today; I got the shots of the new FIRE 5. Using a an Olympus 70-300mm Four thirds lens equivalent to a 140-600 35mm film lens I got the shots at full zoom from around a quarter of a mile from the take off point then following it across the sky. I do not see from the photos any fire fighting or rescue capability, does anyone know more about this? Does the aircraft still need retro fitting?

Glenn,
Good shot at that distance. Interesting that the registration is still with Augusta. So that means that there may still need to be work done prior to final transfer.

Also Air 1 apparently is not air worthy. That is if you believe the FAA site.
