FDNY rescue 6 in service or not

Hi all

im having a discussion with a buddy of mine if Rescue 6 is still in service. any help..... ??

I believe its been Out of service for a couple of years, and with the current budget cuts would not look for it anytime soon

The piece that was originally put in service as Rescue 6 is a fully equipped reserve rescue but is not staffed as a sixth rescue company. It is ready to be put in service at anytime put does not have a crew assigned to it.

JAY IS CORRECT AND KNOWS HIS FDNY .THE RES6CUE WAS ESTABLISHED ON AUGUST 2ND 2004 AND WAS DISBANDED AT 0900 HOURS ON SEPTEMBER 3RD 2004 I BELIEVE IT WAS CREATED FOR A CONVENTION OR SOME OTHER DOING I WILL CHECK INTO THAT

FOUND MY NOTES ON RES6CUE RES6CUE WAS ESTABLISHED FOR THE REPULICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION IN MANHATTEN.
