Some time ago I sold a die cast Ford c with a Gerstenslager body to someone on ATEV. He said that he was going to kitbash it. It was about 1/50 scale and was and older die cast like Tootsietoy that had no cab interior etc. Just like to know what happened to it.

Just for the record...the piece was made in the 1960's by Hubley...the Cab, Rescue Body, and Chassis were all separate pieces. There were also two plastic ground ladders that came with it...one 'hung' on each side.
The kitbashes and re-paints that I've seen all had the 'pins' that held the ladders ground off...so it looked more authentic like a 'real' Rescue Truck.
It was a neat model, and you can still find them (but not too often, anymore) at model railroad shows and flea markets.
Repainted, decaled, and done up 'correctly', these make great display pieces...
