Bostondick passed away yesterday. I liked his insight on the Boston Fire Department. I think I might have traded with him at one time or another. My sympathies to his family.

Yes, I got the news this morning in an e-mail from his friend who found him: I really don't know your name, but I do know that you converse with Dick Vrabel on the internet.

I have bad news, Dick passed away, I found him at his apt. Monday after I didn't hear from him for a couple of days.

Would you please post this on the fire site. He was a fan of the site and enjoyed conversing with all his "firefighting friends'.

Richard Vrabel born 9-23-1943 died 08-30-10.
