Begslist Help Board

They make their pleas for help on the Internet. Some are struggling single moms or recent college graduates loaded down with student loans and maxed-out credit cards. Others are childless couples seeking treatment for infertility. One site even makes a pitch for a cat named Buster.

The tales of woe vary. But the request is the same: They want people to send money or help by way of the Internet. They call it "cyberbegging"or "Internet panhandling".

Desperately trying to avoid bankruptcy

If it can go wrong it has and I've run out of options. I'm a single mother who has had some of the worst possible luck over the last two years. I've worked hard and scrapped and scrimped and managed to keep it together - barely - until now. Like most everyone I have a story and I'll be more than happy to share if anyone really wants to hear it but it's a bit long to include here so I'll just give you the facts.

2 months behind on my mortgage
3 months behind on my car (5yrs old, owned for 2yrs)
2 months behind on the electric
5 months behind on a debt consolidation loan
4 months behind on my only credit card
3 months behind on my medical bills

Cable, cell phone, life insurance policies are gone - got too far behind on them.

Animals haven't been to the vet in 18 months - no heartworm, flea or tick treatment and no check ups for the dog with cancer.

I've managed to keep my daughter and I fed, clothed, and housed but even that is in jeaopardy now.

I've managed to find a new job with better pay, but I'm so far behind that without some immediate help the additional pay won't help.

Any and all donations will be MUCH appreciated and, if an email address is included, I'll be more than happy to let you know how you've helped and what a difference you've made. I'll also let you know - with verifyable information - how I've passed on the good fortune once I'm able (financially).

Warmest regards and many thanks,

Ann
