The tales of woe vary. But the request is the same: They want people to send money or help by way of the Internet. They call it "cyberbegging"or "Internet panhandling".

PLEASE HELP US KEEP OUR HOME

Hello, my name is Maria and I thank you for reading my request. I am a single mother of an 11 year old boy. I have always worked until September, 2008 which I had lost my job & both my grandmother & mother passed the same month. I always was able to make my mortgage payments except for these last 4 months. As of now I am in pre foreclosure I need to pay $5,540 by January 31, 2009 in order to keep my home. Not alone I do not have any income coming in I am currently looking for work. We're all alone in this world. So now we're facing homelessness and losing everything we have. If you can donate $1, $2 or even $5 would be appreciated to help us keep our home. If you cannot donate anything please say a prayer for us. We just need a helping hand this once. Please be our Guardian Angel.
