T- Nuts for clipper machine build

As I try to get my head around building the housing for clipper motor/wheel assembly
I'm a little confused when it talks about T-nuts and T-bolts.
I know T-nuts as used in setups for a milling machine table and have a hard time imagining something like that in this application.
Would carriage bolts work?
Help me understand this a little more sharply.

Re: T- Nuts for clipper machine build

You need to look up t-nuts for wood working. There are no t-bolts only t-nuts. the t-nuts are 1/4 -20 thread and the screws that go into them are 1/4 - 20 screws for holding the wheel inclosure onto the motor base.
