I am a great Auster's works fan.
And since I have read all his books I woukd like to know other writers that have inspired him
or that write their books in the same way (or style).

I wouldn't say Salman Rushdie was one of his idol's. Friend? Yes. Admirer of his work? Yes.

Edgar Allen Poe is important - the William Wilson character in City Of Glass is taken from Poe's story.
