a mystery
dawn
scorches into the world
the word the letter i
branding its mark like a hieroglyph
worming its way,beyond
the vertical blinds
beyond the window
and the fence, beyond
the trees and the sky
beyond time and the concept
of me and you.
imagine
the paper lantern
was your globe
above your bed.
your source of light
a way of seeing.
beyond
the dark.

in the book of illusions
‘we want to believe
in impossible things’
a magic touch
the dew
licking the leaves
or
the simplicity
of a bird song.
ascending taking
you right back
to the start.
