two of my fave authors.

very different yet bearing incredible similarities.

both born in 1947.
both writing metafiction.
both into pseudonyms.
both depicting a dark half.
both passionate about baseball.

the list goes on, but I always wondered - what do you guys think? I would love to know if Auster's ever read anything by King and viceversa - and what each of them thought about the other...

Of the interviews I've read, he hasn't mentioned King, but as well-read as Auster is, I'm sure he's picked King up at some point.

But to validate your feelings, I like them both too!
