Re: Friday Fishing

Well, my work really d*cked me over tonight.

I go in at 2:30 for my regular 3:30-11:30 shift....and see an email...

"Mike, due to constraints we need to run O/T on lines #, #, #, #, #, and #. Please inform your employees early in the shift.

Thanks and have a wonderful Christmas."

Note, this email was sent at 2:10pm....and of COURSE when I get there, every manager in the front office is history, long gone...

Thanks a lot folks. Needless to say it was a REALLY crappy night for me because my people were PISSED. They hate it when we do that to them on a REGULAR Friday, much less the one before Christmas eve....So I had to deal with a huge morale drop tonight....Out of 80 temps, ZERO stayed, they all walked out at 11:30.....and I only had 13 Full times out of 50 that stayed. We ran ONE production line until 3:30am.

Here it is 4:45am and I just now got home. So I basically got to work at 2:30pm and got home at 4:45am.

And ya know what? Screw it, I ain't going to sleep, I'm staying up and when day break hits, my rear-end will be ON THE WATER with a fishing pole in my hand.

I'll sleep tomorrow afternoon
