Jeremiah Moore born in Ireland. He was in what is now Ontario, Canada by the time of his marriage on 7 Feb 1839 to Martha Morgan. Martha was born about 1819, probably in County Cork. They were married by a traveling curcuit rider minister who was Wesley Methodist. We believe Jeremiah's brother is Joseph Moore. Joseph was born 1 May 1813 in Ireland and was married the same day to Catherine Morgan who was born in County Cork. Catherine's parents were Richard Morgan alleged born in England and Elizabeth Newman. We thought Martha was the sister of Catherine (especially since Jeremiah's first son was named Richard Morgan Moore), but Martha the sister of Catherine married John Newman. Y-DNA testing matches Jeremiah's descendants to the Moher family of County Cork who are Roman Catholic.
