I am searching in County Waterford for Joseph O'Connell b. 1790 and his wife, Margaret Coleman b. 1795. I have found no O'Connells nor Colemans. They had 10 children all listed as being born in Templemichael, Waterford, Ireland:

Mary O'Connell
Nora O'Connell
Patrick O'Connell
William O'Connell
John Andrew O'Connell 1830 – 1907
Margaret O'Connell 1842 – 1915
Bridget O'Connell 1842 – 1908
The last three emigrated to Kentucky, USA in the 1850s. I do not know about the others.
I descend from John Andrew O'Connell.
If anyone knows of this family I would love to have any clues as to their ancestry.

I too am looking for my fraternal ancestors in Waterford - but do know that my grandfather was a Connell and not O'Connell as the British, who were then in control, took away most of the Irish names.
My father has no more information beyond his grandfather (James Connell - Waterford 1858-1925)
