BALLYMORRIS? Hugh Tevlin and mother Bridget Levy Tevlin

I recently discovered my great great grandfather's headstone from 1857 and the inscription said he was born in "Ballymorris, County Longford". I have been searching using Granard as the closest town because I haven't been able to find much on the village (or is it a larger town?) of Ballymorris, except a place called "Ballymaurice". Should I assume this is the same? Has the town changed names in the last 150 years?

My 2x g-grandfather was Hugh Tevlin. He arrived in NYC in the 1830's and lived in Manhattan. I believe he had a brother or cousin James Tevlin in Cold Springs, NY - that is why he is buried up there instead of in the city. His mother Bridget Tevlin was born in Ballymorris in 1792 and died in NYC in 1849. I believe her maiden name was Levy and that her husband was Michael Tevlin who died in 1835 but that's guesswork at this point.

If you have any information on this family, especially if you can tie them to the James Tevlin in Cold Springs I'd love to hear that, too.

Thanks for any Ballymorris advice!
-Marianne
