I am researching my GGG-Grandparents, Daniel Conway and Ellen Devine. Daniel died on a ship returning from Ireland in 1887 after visiting his birthplace in County Longford. He owned a livery stable in New York City for many years, and although I believe he emigrated to NYC in steerage class, he died a relatively wealthy man. His obituary states that he was a long-time Land Leaguer.
