Lynch/Cavan/Meath

Matthew or Mathew Lynch Baptised on August 11, 1808. Father James Lynch Mther Seragh Fenlan. Witness Laurence Delany and Matt Murphy. Parish Navan Diocese Meath and County Meath.

I am Peter Halferty. I am doing some free research for my Vietnam buddy of 1969. He is Don Lynch from the Ohio/Iowa Lynches.

Mathew Lynch, Great-great grandfather arrive in 1850. Married a Mary Hand in 1838. At Parish Kingscourt/Enniskeen, Diocese Meath, County Meath. Witnesses: Patt Lynch and Laurce Ball.

Everything I see written says that he was from Wexfors yet there are no records for a Matthew in Wexford. The earliest Lynch record in Wexford is in 1823.

And I can not find that name anywhere. Fenlan.

Can you assist me in any way. I would geatly appreciate any assistance you can be.

Thank you.

I almost think that they all came from Cavan. But as I look at the mao and the Meath in both Counties I think that he is the one in Navan, Meath, Meath. Not Wexford.
I am petert1@westelcom.com

Thanks again
