I am searching for information on Margaret Sheridan. Born March 17 1848 (Galway,Ireland) (one piece of id says 1856). Her father is listed on her death cert as Philip Sheridan of Ireland and no mother's name listed only Ireland as birth place. Margaret came to America possibly in 1854 most likely through New York. She married a Mathew Maxwell in Chicago Il in 1872. I a copy of the marriage license. I have not been able to find much more information on my gg grandmother. She died in Evanston Il in 1919. I do have many pictures from the 1800s most taken in New York that I believe are family members but are not identified beyond the photographers stamp. I do have a picture of Margaret taken somewhere between (I believe) 1910 and 1919. I would like to learn more about this part of my family and possibly get some of the pictures identified.
