Hi, I'm looking for information on the family of my 2x great grandfather David Stratton. David was born in Tipperary in 1835 and emigrated to Australia some time before 1861. In 1861 he married Esther Farrell (from Co Wicklow) in Melbourne. David was a very successful miller in Ballarat, Echuca and Cootumundra. He lived most of his life in Victoria, but died in 1921 in New South Wales. His death certificate indicates he was born in Tipperary, but has no mention of where; nor is there any information regarding his parents names or occupation. I have been searching for 2 years and have been unable to find any information about him or his family. I would be thrilled if anyone can provide me with any information about David Stratton or any Stratton's in Tipperary. Cheers Barbara
