john, I think my Richard Francis Burke, father of John and Margaret Burke, was that groom. His wife is unclear- he may have had 1 die young, then married another who raised the children.We are from massachusetts,usa,and a family letter describes him as working wth horses on an estate in Kilsheelan in the 1840-55 time period.Our family sees this groom as going to America in the 1850s,then leaving the family in Haydenville MA.to fight in the civil war, never to be heard from again.(He is thought to have survived the war,and they were less than pleased to be denied a pension, as he may have fought for the south.)I would like to know where this estate is also.Please contact me.Thank You Mary Golden
